PFALZKOM has been officially accredited by Gaia-X. Within this ecosystem, representatives from business, science and politics make a sustainable contribution to the sustainable design of a European data infrastructure at international level.
PFALZKOM also acts as an official Gaia-X Clearing House (GXDCH). Here, we take on the role of a gatekeeper to check whether the participants within a data room are acting in accordance with conformity guidelines and all the rules so that standardized data can be exchanged securely.

The current certification is valid until 30.09.2027.

Our Data Centers are certified according to ISO / IEC 27001:2022 for the areas of racks, cages, Managed Services, storage as a service, virtualized servers (VM) and backup, among others. We were certified for the first time in 2012. Particular attention was paid to requirements such as the creation, introduction, operation, monitoring, maintenance and improvement of a documented information security management system, taking into account the IT risks within a company.

The current certification is valid until 07.07.2025.

Since 2010, our company has been consistently certified in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard for the areas of development, sales and the provision of information and telecommunications services. The ISO 9001 standard has now established itself worldwide as a benchmark for assessing competencies to meet quality requirements and increase customer satisfaction.

The current certification is valid until 20.07.2026.

Data Centers must always meet new and increasing requirements. DIN EN 50600, which was introduced in Germany by the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) and the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE), is authoritative in Europe. The standard is best practice for the planning, construction and operation of data centers and covers a wide range of topics. Our Data Centers are certified both individually and as a group.

ISAE 3402 SOC 1 confirms the effectiveness of PFALZKOM’s internal control system. PFALZKOM has established controls in various areas in order to achieve the control objectives of the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3402 SOC 1 and to maintain the high customer requirements for information security. This includes the areas of business continuity management, capacity management, change management, environmental security, network monitoring, physical security, quality & certifications and risk management.

As a cloud service provider, we meet the transparency, security, quality and legal compliance requirements of the technology program initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The “Trusted Cloud” label visibly signals the trustworthiness of cloud solutions. The association “Kompetenznetzwerk Trusted Cloud e. V.”, founded in mid-2015, emerged from the technology program of the same name initiated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. One result of the technology program was the development and establishment of a seal of approval for trustworthy cloud services. The Trusted Cloud competence network was initiated by the BMWi to develop the Trusted Cloud label. Further information can be found on the Trusted Cloud website.

The current certification is valid until 31.12.2025.

Since September 2018, we have been a member of the “IT Security made in Germany” program run by TeleTrusT. The mark was established on the initiative of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and representatives of the German IT security industry. The use of the “IT Security made in Germany” mark is limited in time and can only take place after a declaration of conformity. PFALZKOM has proven that the criteria for the trust mark have been met and is entitled to bear the certification mark for a further year.

Premium Enabled Sites are data centers in which DE-CIX operates its own hardware and through which our customers can be directly connected to the world’s largest internet node. PFALZKOM’s Data Centers meet these requirements and thus offer our customers important networking and interconnection options in the entire Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Services such as DirectCLOUD, GlobePEER, GlobePEER Remote and MetroVLAN are directly available from us.

The Corporate Climate Protection Network connects companies that want to actively contribute to climate protection and position themselves for the future. The network is aimed in particular at SMEs. Information and qualification offers accompany companies on their way to climate neutrality. At the heart of the project is a digital platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices. In cooperation with chambers of industry and commerce, there are also introductory consultations, webinars and the qualification of trainees as energy scouts.

PFALZKOM has been part of the Climate Neutral Data Center Pact since July 2021. Cloud infrastructure providers and Data Center operators as well as associations from all over Europe are committed to taking concrete measures to operate Data Centers in a climate-neutral manner by 2030. In doing so, they are proactively helping to shape the transition to a more sustainable economy. The initiative was developed in collaboration with the European Commission.

We obtain our green electricity exclusively from solar, wind and hydropower, including from TÜV-certified hydropower plants in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland. PFALZWERKE Purstrom is certified by TÜV Rheinland and certifies that the power generation plants are regularly monitored.

TÜV Rheinland confirms that the Purstrom green electricity product fully meets the criteria of the “100% renewable energies” and “regular monitoring” certificates. Voluntary proof was provided through an audit.
