PFALZKOM at “IT uffm Betze 2025” – A look back at a regional IT highlight

On June 4, 2025, it was that time again: the regional IT industry gathered at the historic Fritz Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern for the IT uffm Betze conference – an annual highlight for experts, companies and digital enthusiasts from the region. PFALZKOM was also there – and not just as a visitor. Carsten Brüggemann, Principal Consultant at PFALZKOM, held a presentation on Gaia-X and explained how this European initiative can help to improve the quality and transparency of current AI systems – in particular large language models (LLMs).

The aim of the presentation was to familiarize a wider audience of experts with the advantages of conneced, federated and sovereign data spaces – because the importance of reliable data infrastructures is often underestimated, especially in AI issues. “Gaia-X is still too unknown in many IT circles. I hope I was able to surprise some visitors with this content and give them a good reason to attend the event”, explains Carsten Brüggemann.

Sabrina Mackle was also on site for PFALZKOM and particularly appreciated the personal exchange and familiar atmosphere of the event: “It’s always nice to see how a regional event can inspire people.” In addition to the presentations, the event offered space for networking, knowledge sharing and inspiration – with a clear regional focus and an open, down-to-earth atmosphere.

We would like to thank the IT uffm Betze organization team for this all-round successful event – and are already looking forward to next year’s edition.

Special thanks go to our colleagues Carsten Brüggemann, Sabrina Mackle and Harry Enns for their dedicated participation and commitment on site.
