Our awarded Data Centers – ISG Provider Lens
PFALZKOM has a reason to celebrate! As in previous years, we were once again recognized in 2025 as the leader in the field of Colocation Services – Midmarket in Germany. Our strengths are clearly visible, as we focus above all on a responsible approach to the environment. We do not only use 100% green electricity, but also continuously optimize our energy efficiency in order to meet the strictest future requirements and certifications.
Our focus is clearly on the satisfaction of our customers. When developing our services, we also focus in particular on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to meet the specific needs of this target group. Quality, reliability, proximity and independence – we aim to combine all of these under one roof, always externally audited and certified.
The authors were also impressed by our zone security concept. In our Data Centers, we do not only guarantee an annual availability of 99.98%, but also make clever use of our fiber optic network to offer fail-safety for critical workloads and geo-redundant solutions – also in accordance with the BSI recommendations. We also have a broad network of partner companies at our side for this purpose. The authors of the study summarize us as follows:

And we are preparing for the future! We are also developing options for the operation and development of AI-supported applications. In future, we will drastically increase the performance per rack and integrate liquid solutions for air conditioning in our best-in-class Data Centers.
We are also making great efforts to make Germany and Europe less dependent on large cloud providers in the future. We are increasingly investing in the topics of data sovereignty and Gaia-X and are also one of the few companies in Europe to be recognized as an official Gaia-X Digital Clearing House (GXDCH). In 2025, the ISG Provider Lens will once again compare different providers in terms of their strengths, challenges and unique selling points. It – completely independently – provides valuable insights into the relevant service sector, competitors and the market. Companies are therefore classified into different quadrants (see chart above):
- Leader: Companies that offer the most suitable solutions for the specific needs of customers (midmarket customers)
The evaluation logic is as follows:
- Y-axis: Portfolio attractiveness based on scope, quality, strategy, vision and support
- X-axis: Market positioning based on awareness, image, customer satisfaction, expertise and market launch
