Our Date Center Event in 2025 – Review
Event at Data Center II Rhein-Neckar: Future topics of modern Data Center infrastructure – opportunities and challenges
How can companies successfully master modern Data Center infrastructures? We discussed this intensively last week at our event at Data Center II Rhein-Neckar in Mutterstadt – in a select group. Key future topics for high-performance, secure and sustainable IT infrastructures were highlighted. The main topics included:
- Sustainability and energy efficiency in Data Center operations – a presentation by our sustainability expert Dr. Kerstin Tänkle-Jung
- Strategic choice of location and regional security of supply
- Innovative cooling solutions for modern IT loads
- Security and resilience of business-critical systems
- Smooth transformations and IT relocations
- Data sovereignty and European independence – a presentation by our colleague and Gaia-X expert Carsten Brüggemann
Together with Drees & Sommer we welcomed numerous customers and partners. We would like to thank our external colleagues Mathias Franke and Dirk Heuzeroth, who shed light on key future topics for high-performance, secure and sustainable IT infrastructures. We would also like to applaud Maximilian Münch from DATIS IT Services for his partnership and exciting contribution! And of course we would like to thank all our colleagues on site at the Data Center, without whom such an event would not have been possible! As a regional digitalization partner, we continue to strive to drive the digital future of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region together with our customers and partners.
The crowning moment of the event was a guided tour of our highly secure DCRNII in the afternoon – during which all measures, structures and precautions could be examined in detail. The event took place under the highest possible security precautions.
