TUMO – Digital Learning Center in Mannheim

The digital learning center Tumo was opened today at the Mafinex Technology Center in Mannheim. Thomas Bach, Pamela Liberto and Sabrina Mackle were on site to accompany the launch of the innovative educational project for young people aged between 12 and 18. With the high-speed internet connection via PFALZKOM’s own fiber optic network, which is available to the NEXT Mannheim start-up centers, this start-up project is also optimally supplied. At the digital learning center, young people can voluntarily develop their skills in various digital learning fields after school. There are also 100 modern workstations with great interior design.
Thomas Bach, Business Development, has a clear opinion: “We know that Germany is lagging behind the rest of the world when it comes to digitalization and education. It is therefore all the more pleasing that the second German TUMO learning center has opened in Mannheim and that PFALZKOM is supporting it with its digital expertise.” Pamela Liberto, trainer at PFALZKOM, adds: “The basic technical equipment with fast internet and modern workstations is an important element for digital learning. In addition to the provision of technology, however, methodological skills and experimentation in a protected space such as TUMO is at least as important. We can’t learn experience, we have to gain it.” The digital learning center is sponsored by Starkmacher e.V .
