Lange Nacht der Innovation und Kultur – Review

On April 12, 2025, the MAFINEX Technology Center in Mannheim became a stage for exciting ideas, new technologies and creative projects: Lange Nacht der Innovation und Kultur attracted numerous visitors – and PFALZKOM was there as a proud partner of the city of Mannheim and NEXT MANNHEIM.
As a regionally based IT company, we make targeted use of such events to showcase hands-on innovation. This time, our interactive stand focused on a virtual tour of our highly secure Data Center Rhine-Neckar II. Equipped with VR glasses, interested visitors were able to digitally immerse themselves in our data center world and experience how digital infrastructure “Made in the Metropolitan Region” works.
A very special highlight: The official tour with Mayor Christian Specht and the representatives Volker Proffen and Thorsten Riehle began directly at our stand. Thomas Bach, Business Development at PFALZKOM, describes the evening as follows: “I was able to explain that PFALZKOM is a proud partner of the city of Mannheim and NEXT Mannheim and is committed to the digital development of the region.”
Such events are not only showcases for technologies, but also make a valuable contribution to society. They make visible what is happening in businesses, start-ups and innovative companies in our region – and promote dialogue about progress, digitalization and future viability. Special thanks go to the team from NEXT MANNHEIM and SOS Medien for the successful organization of the event – and of course to our PFALZKOM colleagues on site, consisting of Thomas Bach, Sylvia Pressler, Eric Gabel and Mathias Romanowicz. We were able to enrich the evening for many visitors with a great deal of commitment, openness and know-how.
Three words that summarize this evening for us: Mannheim. Innovation. Community. We are already looking forward to next time!
